TurnItIn Issue
UPDATE: We have received an update that this issue should be resolved for students. Faculty may need to click the “Resubmit to TurnItIn” button if they encounter issues. Thank you for your patience!
TurnItIn, a plagiarism-prevention application, is experiencing errors when students submit assignments. Technicians are working on resolving the issue. If you attempt to submit an assignment and are unable to do so due to the error, please connect with your instructor.

Various sites down temporarily
The below sites may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., Tuesday, January 15:
- Independent Learning website
- BSN-LINC registration site
- Independent Learning student accounts
- Permission Number sites for Applied Computing, Data Science, Healthcare Administration, HIMT, HWM, and Sustainable Management
- Independent Learning grade entry site (LPV)
Downtime is not expected to last more than five minutes or so, but you may want to plan any work in these sites outside of the possible outage window (3:30 – 5 p.m., Tuesday, January 15). If you experience difficulties with these sites outside of the outage window, please fill out and submit the form to the right.
Tech Support Holiday Hours
Tech Support will be available on a reduced schedule from Sunday, December 23, through Tuesday, January 1. The hours of operation are below:
- Sunday, December 23: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (phone calls)
- Submitted forms will be handled until 9 p.m.
- Monday, December 24: CLOSED
- Tuesday, December 25: CLOSED
- Wednesday, December 26: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (phone calls)
- Submitted forms will be handled until 9 p.m.
- Thursday, December 27: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (phone calls)
- Submitted forms will be handled until 9 p.m.
- Friday, December 28: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, December 29: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sunday, December 30: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (phone calls)
- Submitted forms will be handled until 9 p.m.
- Monday, December 31: CLOSED
- Tuesday, January 1: CLOSED
- Wednesday, January 2: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (regular business hours)
Scheduled Maintenance 8 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 12
The permission number sites and the Independent Learning instructor grade-entry site will be unavailable from approximately 8 p.m. until about 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, due to scheduled maintenance.
During this time, students in the Applied Computing, BSN-LINC, Data Science, Health Information Management and Technology, Health and Wellness Management, Healthcare Administration, and Sustainable Management programs will be unable to request or obtain permission numbers.
Also during this time, Independent Learning instructors will be unable to enter Independent Learning grades.
We expect functionality to return around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 12. If you experience difficulties outside the time frame listed above, please reach out to Tech Support by submitting the form to the right.
