UW Flexible Option Students – Flex Check-In Issues

UW Flexible Option Students:  If you are experiencing issues accessing the Flex Check-In, please submit your request using the Web Form at the right of this message under “Write Us”.   Please include the following information in the “Reason for Request” Section:

  • Your full name
  • The project or competency set in which you are experiencing an issue
  • A brief description of the issue, including any error message(s) you are receiving
  • Which question (Question 1, Question 2, or Question 3) you are trying to access

You will receive a response within a business day.

UW-Milwaukee Issues Accessing D2L & PAWS

UW-Milwaukee has reported that some students and professors are having issues accessing D2L and PAWS due to their network setup.  UW-Milwaukee is working to resolve the issue.  Should you be experiencing these problems, please contact their help desk at 414-229-4040 or 877-381-3459.

D2L & PRISM Unplanned Outage 12/22/2017

At approximately 1:30 PM this afternoon, we received notice that some students may be experiencing issues logging into D2L and/or PRISM.  A networking problem is preventing communications between UW Colleges and UW-Madison networks. As a result, PRISM and D2L, which are hosted on UW-Madison equipment, are not reachable. CITS and DoIT staff have not yet identified the problem.  Please check back frequently for updates as we receive them.

UW Flexible Option Portal Outage – Financial Aid

Currently the UW Flexible Option Portal is having technical issues.  If you are trying to accept your aid and are unable to, please send an email to financialaid@uwex.edu with the amount of aid you would like accepted on your behalf.  If you are asking us to accept enough aid to cover your remaining balance, we will make sure that you are not dropped for nonpayment.

Lynda.com Outage *Updated 12/12/2017

At approximately 4:00PM on December 5th, we were notified that Lynda.com is down.  You may receive a “Permission Denied” error when trying to login.  Be advised that we are aware of the issue and are working on a solution.  At this time there is no ETA.  Please check this website for updates.

Upon successfully logging in to Lynda, you receive an error indicating that you do not have permission to access the content. The source of the problem is a mistake/software defect with the Lynda.com software.

Lynda’s headquarters is in California, right in the middle of the terrible wildfires affecting that region. The wildfires are having a severe impact on their daily operations. At this point their engineers believe they understand what is causing our problem, but they are unable to apply, and test, the fix due to the reduced capacity at their headquarters. Lynda is unable to provide us with an estimated completion date. They are aware of the impact it is having on UW Colleges and are apologetic for the delay in getting it resolved.
