Non Degree Independent Learning Programs
Independent Learning This program offers over 300 print-based courses (many with email options), developed and taught by UW faculty and instructors. It features individualized instruction, open year-round registration, and self-paced study with 12 months to complete a course. Courses can help students complete their degree requirements, meet professional licensing and certification requirements, or pursue their own personal interests.
Independent Learning also offers professional examination courses including:
- CPM/APP courses which provide preparation for the Institute for Supply Management's (ISM) professional certification examinations for Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) and Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.).
- Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure: Dynamics of Leadership. An introductory course in parliamentary procedure designed to assist leaders, managers, and those involved with organizations to have quality meetings that result in decisions rather than more meetings.
